This is the fifth in a series of Newsletters which we publish every 4-6 weeks to our "The Lofts Sathorn" home owners and prospective clients. Our aim is to keep you fully informed on the progress of the development at Soi Meksawat during the period of construction and before transfer.

The topics we will keep you updated about will include construction progress, choice of suppliers and materials, programme, meetings, on-site visits, progress of show homes etc. We hope you will find this informative and we welcome any comments from you by telephone, email, fax or ordinary letter. In this Newsletter we will also post photographs taken of the site.
CONSTRUCTION

Construction of all 6 clusters have all been topped off with external brickwork complete, external plasterwork 85% complete, and the external sandstone cladding now 40% complete.

Work on the 3 Lofts facing Soi Meksawat (which includes the Show Loft) is proceeding on a fast track basis with the intention that the facade and landscaping of these homes will be complete at the same time as the interior fit out of the Show Loft.

The road level of the entire courtyard has been raised with stainless steel covers over the storm-water pits which are evenly spaced along the centreline of the courtyard. This paved and cobble finished courtyard will be 300mm above the level of Soi Meksawat.

Concrete services ducts have been constructed on both sides of the courtyard to accommodate power and data/telephone cables.

The concrete sub-strata for the roadway will be complete by Nov 07 allowing the WEA and MEA to install their water supply meters and electricity transformer respectively.

Once these services are installed the roadway will be completed and all scaffolding will be removed to allow the finishing and completion of all external facades.
DESIGN

The interior design fit-out of the Show Loft (Loft 12) such as flooring, kitchens, fitted cupboards, sanitary-ware, internal doors etc are in place and we are now at the stage of ensuring that the quality of workmanship meets our requirements. This is a vital phase of work as the Show Loft sets the overall standard for all the homes.

Although the Show Loft is not open, a number of buyers are visiting this home over the weekends and the comments have been extremely favourable, in terms of space, light, and design. This is very encouraging given our aim for The Lofts Sathorn to set a new benchmark for contemporary urban living in central Bangkok.

An important feature of the Lofts is the courtyard between the clusters and the landscaping outside each home. As the construction nears completion, elements of this will begin to emerge, in particular the brick and river rock finish of the courtyard.
THE SHOW LOFT

As mentioned earlier, we are currently fine tuning the fit-out of the Show Loft and ensuring that the workmanship is in line with our high expectations.

This has taken longer than we initially expected but has been an important exercise given that the Show Loft will set the standard for the other homes.

We now expect that the opening of the Show Loft, including all loose furniture, will be on Friday Nov 21. Our sole agent CB Richard Ellis will have a sales team in this unit from this date.
